Julie's Recipes Published - Again!

Last fall, several of Julie's recipes were published in "Best of the Best from New Mexico Cookbook." The book contains a compilation of selected recipes from over fifty of the State of New Mexico's favorite cookbooks and restaurants. The editors conducted a two-year search of the best recipes from every corner of the state. As a result of their search, the editors discovered wonderful recipes created by Taoseña, Julie Cahalane.

In November the Taos News featured Julie in an article in the Cuisine section. "With all the wonderful restaurants we have in Taos, I was honored to be the only one chosen for inclusion in the book," commented Julie, " it was such an honor." From her kitchen, food lovers will find recipes for Mexican Wedding Cakes, Decadence Layer Bars, Chimayo Red Chile and more!

Folk Artists give the Inn New Look

Nationally known Southwest folk artists Jeannie Vandenberg and Christine Waszak, give the Inn a new look. Jeannie recently worked her magic on the Inn's freshly surfaced adobe walls. Her murals range from whimsical cowboy boots, chickens and chili ristras to a star-studded night sky surrounding the entrance to a guest room.

Christine worked her magic on the inside, painting each bathroom with a completely unique theme. Fun florals to cactus to horses, each room completed was more spectacular than the last. Thanks, Christine!

Both artists' full line of art work, from hand painted furniture to floor cloths, are available in Taos at Taos Country Furnishings, a wonderful store filled with handmade pottery, metal work, furniture and much much more. Visiting this fun shop should always be on a guest's agenda.
